Microsoft Courier Tablet

Chris Parnin showed me this.  I want one, but it will probably be a couple of years before it is available.

Embedded C#

The .NET environment is normally 38 MB. However, in the .NET Compact Framework (CF) is is only 2MB.

I got this from a doc off the net but I cannot get at the actual address.

The company is Applied Data System and the authors are Chris Tacke and Lawrence Ricci.

Wubi (linux windows installer)

Wubi is an unofficial Ubuntu installer for Windows. Lets one install an run Linux under windows like any other application.

Read about it in this article: http://www.download.com/Wubi/3000-2098_4-10689087.html

Down load involves down loading a copy of the Ubuntu ISO. I was not expecting that.

This is the Wubi home page: http://www.cutlersoftware.com/ubuntusetup/wubi/en-US/index.html

It seems like the download of the ISO has stalled.

Instlux is also a installer. It seems to let me choose the linux I want to use. Perhaps I could use this to insall DSL Linux.

My Picture

Capacitors for Batteries

The combination of compacitors and nano technology is leading to a new type of battery to charges in seconds and can be charged 100's of thousands of time. The work is being done at MIT and they hope to have a prototype in the next several months and something comercially in about 5 years. The work is being done byJoel Schindall.
